Newer players are often afraid of bidding notrump. They'll look for reasons not to bid notrump: I don't have a stopper, I have a five-card major, I don't want to have to play it, etc. As we improve, we should flip that approach. We default to bidding notrump (if we can't find a fit in a major) unless we're hit over the head with a reason not to. See if you find the right situations to bid notrump on these problems.
We'll start with an opening bid. None vul, what's your call?
